Job Description

As an Agency Care Assistant & Support Worker with Trident Healthcare Solutions, you will provide essential care and support to individuals within various care home settings across the UK. This role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being are maintained at all times.

You will be responsible for tasks such as personal care, mobility support, medication prompting, and engaging residents in social activities. Given the agency nature of the role, you will have the flexibility to choose shifts that fit your schedule, working with a leading healthcare staffing provider that partners with over 40 care home operators nationwide.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care assistant or support worker role is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for providing compassionate and person-centred care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across various shifts and locations as an agency worker.
  • Must possess the existing legal right to work in the UK.
  • Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care) are a plus.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rates ranging from £14 to £16.
  • Flexible agency shifts allowing for a work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to work with a wide network of reputable care home operators.
  • Access to thousands of shifts weekly across nationwide locations.
  • Supportive agency environment with dedicated staff.
  • Opportunity for professional development and experience in diverse care settings.

How to Prepare

For Nigerian and African immigrants in the UK eyeing this Care Assistant role, refining your application is key. Ensure your CV highlights all relevant care experience, especially any gained within the UK or that aligns with UK care standards. Emphasise your compassionate approach and practical skills. A polished LinkedIn profile, reflecting your professional journey and aspirations, will also make a strong impression on potential employers.

When crafting your cover letter, explicitly state your existing right to work in the UK. If you possess specific UK-recognised certifications like a valid DBS check or any Health and Social Care qualifications, make sure these are prominently featured. For those without immediate right-to-work, while this role prefers UK-based applicants, a direct and polite inquiry to the employer, detailing your transferable skills and commitment, might open a dialogue.

  • Ensure your CV is updated to a UK format, detailing all care-related experience and qualifications.
  • Highlight any UK-recognised certifications such as a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
  • Prepare professional references from previous care roles.
  • Craft a cover letter that explicitly states your right-to-work status in the UK.
  • If enquiring as a foreign applicant, clearly outline your relevant experience and commitment to the role.

Visa Sponsorship & Foreigner Eligibility

Visa sponsorship is NOT advertised for this Care Assistant role. The employer specifically prefers UK-based applicants with existing right-to-work. Foreign applicants who are not currently UK residents with work authorisation may still apply but are strongly advised to confirm their eligibility directly with Trident Healthcare Solutions Ltd before proceeding.
