Ant International is seeking a Business Development Manager for the UK Mid-market in London, a full-time position offering a salary of £48,041.82. This role is ideal for UK-based applicants with existing right-to-work, though foreign applicants may still enquire directly with the employer. The position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a leading global payment processing provider.

Job Description

As a Business Development Manager for the UK Mid-market at Ant International's Antom division, you will be instrumental in expanding the company's reach within the UK. Antom provides comprehensive, vertical-specific digital payment solutions, currently supporting merchants across over 40 countries and regions with access to hundreds of payment methods globally.

Beyond payment processing, you will also engage with digital marketing solutions through A Rewards, an adaptable marketing platform. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and driving the adoption of Antom’s innovative payment and marketing solutions among mid-market merchants in the UK.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the FinTech or payment processing industry.
  • Strong understanding of the UK mid-market landscape and merchant needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic international team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving sales targets.
  • Existing right-to-work in the UK is required; foreign applicants without this should confirm eligibility with the employer.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with potential for performance-based incentives.
  • Opportunity to work for a globally recognized leader in digital payments.
  • Comprehensive training and professional development opportunities.
  • A dynamic and multicultural work environment.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge payment technologies and digital marketing solutions.

How to Prepare

For Nigerian and African immigrants targeting this Business Development Manager role, focus on showcasing your ability to navigate complex sales cycles and build robust client relationships, even if your experience is from outside the UK. Emphasise any experience with digital payment solutions or FinTech, highlighting how your skills are transferable to the UK mid-market. Ensure your CV is polished to a UK standard, clearly outlining your achievements with quantifiable results, and tailor your LinkedIn profile to reflect expertise relevant to business development in a global tech environment.

As this role prefers UK-based applicants with existing right-to-work, if you are a foreign applicant without current UK status, your cover letter is crucial. Use it to clearly state your current visa status or explain your eligibility to work in the UK, and strongly articulate why your unique background and drive make you an exceptional candidate for Ant International, despite the visa preference.

  • Update your CV to a UK format, focusing on quantifiable achievements in sales or business development.
  • Tailor your LinkedIn profile to highlight FinTech, payment processing, or international business development experience.
  • Prepare a compelling cover letter that addresses the right-to-work requirement directly and showcases your transferable skills.
  • Research Ant International and Antom's services thoroughly to demonstrate genuine interest and understanding during interviews.
  • Practice articulating your sales strategies and success stories in a clear, concise manner.

Visa Sponsorship & Foreigner Eligibility

Visa sponsorship is NOT advertised for this position. The company prefers UK-based applicants with existing right-to-work status. Foreign applicants without current UK right-to-work may still apply but should clearly confirm their eligibility directly with the employer during the application process to avoid misunderstandings.
