Job Description
As a CYP-PT CBT Therapy Trainee, you will join the CNWL Brent and Harrow Mental Health Support Teams, participating in an NHS England funded programme in partnership with Anna Freud, Kings College London, and UCL. This fixed-term position allows you to train on the Children & Young People Mental Health (CYP-MH/CYP IAPT) Therapy Course while applying your newly developed skills in a clinical setting.
Your primary duties will involve working with young people aged 5-18 with mild to moderate mental health presentations within school settings. You'll provide evidence-based interventions, support senior mental health leads in schools, and offer timely advice to ensure young people receive appropriate support and remain in education. The role includes attending MHST team meetings, group and 1:1 supervision, and active participation within the team.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a mental health practitioner.
- High motivation and enthusiasm for working and training within the service.
- Ability to work clinically in school settings to meet training course requirements.
- Commitment to attending and successfully completing the CYP-MH/CYP IAPT Therapy Course.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
